Calico Craft Designs proudly presents new handmade cross-stitch cards for Halloween in the Etsy Shop!!!  I have expanded the product line to now include small cross-stitched items.  I will continue to produce fabric rag wreaths and candle-rings but felt that a few cross-stitched items would also be a good fit.

Five Halloween cards have been added to the shop and I'll be starting on other projects very soon.  I've also added a new Candy Corn Rag Wreath and a Candy Corn Candle-Ring.  Who doesn't love sugary candy corn?!?!

Getting Back into the Groove

Life is finally starting to get back to "normal" around here and I'm happy to say that progress has started again on creating items for the Calico Craft Designs Etsy shop.  I'm focusing on the upcoming fall and holiday season.  I hope to have new items loaded later this month or early September.

I have finished a couple of small cross-stitch pieces for Halloween cards and thought I'd share them as a sneak peek.  I can't wait to see how these come out in the finished cards.

An Apology

I want to take just a moment to apologize for the lack of blog posts and new products in the Calico Craft Designs Etsy store.  I will not be releasing any new items for the upcoming 4th of July holiday.  I simply have not had the opportunity and time to complete any new items due to my husband's medical issues and an unexpected surgery.  The recovery period has been difficult for us both but he is doing a little better every day.  As time passes, I'm sure I'll begin adding additional items for the Autumn season so please keep checking back.  I thank you for your patience and understanding.  I hope that you and your families have a wonderful upcoming 4th of July!

Mother's Day is just around the corner, and although I will not be able to spend this special day with my mom this year, I certainly will reach out to tell her how much she means to me.  I am very thankful to have her in my life.  I hope that you can celebrate with the special women in your life this upcoming weekend.  Happy Mother's Day to you!

New Upcoming Designs for Etsy

If you have visited the Calico Craft Designs Etsy Shop lately, you will probably have noticed the lack of any new items.  It has been one of those months where time has seriously gotten away from me.  I have started on a few fabric "rag" wreaths for Independence Day and I hope to have them completed very soon.

I've also been busy gathering designs and supplies for a few new upcoming designs to add to the shop.  I believe that it's time that I expand the shop's inventory from just fabric wreaths and candle-rings to include handmade, cross-stitch cards.  I'm excited about sharing this long-time passion with you by creating beautiful keepsake cards for you and your loved ones!  I hope to have these new items posted in the upcoming weeks.

Fireworks, Flags, and Stars...Oh My!



Getting ready for 4th of July!

A couple of weeks ago, I started my search for 4th of July items that I could use for fabric wreaths and deco mesh wreaths.  It's never too early to start those holiday projects!  I found a few things but then unfortunately, came down with bronchitis.  Not a fun couple of weeks.  So now that I'm better again, I of course, had to do more shopping.  Yesterday, I acquired a few more fun fabrics and accessories and thought I'd share a photo of my stash.  I'm looking very forward to getting started on a few items today and even have one design in my head that I hope will translate well to the real world.  I do hope the beautiful weather lasts today so I can even work on something outside!
