Grand Opening on Etsy!

Today is the Grand Opening for the Calico Craft Designs store on Etsy!!!  WooHoo!  Currently, the inventory in the store is small but I am always working on new designs and I will be adding a few things very soon.  Right now I have been focused on Valentine's Day but I hope to have items for all year round coming soon.  Please check out the new Etsy store at http://www.etsy.com/shop/CalicoCraftDesigns.  I hope that you will keep checking back to see my new stock.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions or have any special requests for items that you would like to see in the store.

Remember?

Remember that Valentine's Day fabric I bought after Christmas?  Well, I have been working on a few designs with some of the fabrics and ribbons and I decided to post a couple of photos before they go into the new Etsy store (opening soon, yay!).  One is from a new candle-ring and the other is from a new heart-shaped wreath.  Comments and feedback are definitely welcome and appreciated.  I would love to hear your suggestions for new color combinations.

Etsy Store Opening Soon!

I have been working hard on building up my inventory and setting up my Etsy Store for Calico Craft Designs.  I hope to have it up and running in another week or two. (Yay!)  I've completed a few items for Valentine's Day and am already looking ahead to St. Patrick's Day and Easter.  Whew!  Thank you for checking back and keeping tabs on my progress.  I should have photos to share very soon. 

Thank you again for all of the support and encouragement I have received thus far.  Slowly but surely wins the race as they say!

Valentine's Already???

I went shopping today for more fabric and ribbon, specifically for Valentine's Day.  It was a bit odd considering it's not yet January 2013 but you can never start working on projects for upcoming holidays too soon.  Speaking from experience, it's really easy to lose track of time and not have anything completed by the time the season or holiday rolls around.  Still, it was fun to look at all of the cute patterns that are now out for Valentine's Day.  Now the hard part...I have to see what I can come up with!

Gathering Supplies

I've been gathering additional fabrics and supplies today for another fabric design.  Not sure just yet if I'm going to use the candle-sized wreath in the photo or if I should make a full-sized wreath for this project.  Hmmmm...decisions, decisions.
